Christmas Message From LBPEA President
December 21, 2008
FELLOW LBPEA MEMBERS
Greetings!
All around the world, the magic of the Yuletide season never fails to warm hearts and unite people. Truly, Christmas is in the air and it is during this glorious time when we should let go of pretensions and hard feelings to celebrate the true essence of Christmas.
It is neither the fabulous decors nor the extravagant parties, and not even the expensive gifts that show the meaning of Christmas, the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Christmas is about giving and sharing from the heart. A sweet smile, an embrace or a simple greeting will do as long as they are heartfelt and genuine. It is the perfect time to reminisce our whole year and to think of the people around us. For those who have blessed our life and who have done us good, it is when showing how appreciative we are is best. For those we have offended or those who have hurt us, it is the time to approach and say, “Let bygones be bygones.” Indeed, Christmas is not about earthly material possessions; hence, it is most importantly a celebration of people appreciating, thanking and loving other people in the name of Christ.
Just like pen and paper, Christmas is always accompanied by a New Year. We are nearing the end of this twelve-month cycle and we are about to start another one. It is no secret to all that the global economy is now on the brink of recession, and that our Institution may also be put at risk. However, there is no need to be anxious because with our competence, determination, hard work, efficient service and fair dealings with counterparties, we could overcome any threat that would block our progress. Truly, it is the time that unity and cooperation within us are needed to further strengthen LANDBANK and its stakeholders in the midst of trials.
With loyalty, mutual trust and respect, hand in hand, we could do the impossible and altogether we are invincible. Let us therefore (officers and members) make LBPEA a model institution.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
